The violence is bad but i'm completely fine with that, for example characters get tortured and there's a lot of killing especially in the first season but later on there's some good messages with killing and stuff as oliver learns more and eventually he decides that killing is not the way he would be a hero. The pilot episode has a scene where oliver and sarah are having sex and everything but i think if you skip through scenes like these then the show is good for 13 or 14 year olds. and the main character is a playboy so that doesn't help. Sex is really bad imo, I always skip through kissing scenes and sex scenes and stuff and although it's not like straight nudity it's still pretty suggestive like when two unmarried people wake up in the same bed and stuff.

There is some profanity but not a ton but it still might be something that parents should be aware of and be mindful of if there showing this to a young kid. So I'm 13 and idk if i registered as an adult or whatever but yeah so i'm thirteen and watching through arrow and it's honestly a great show. Though his actions are in defense of innocent victims, and he chooses his marks carefully, the concept of taking justice into your own hands is an iffy one - and one of many topics that parents can discuss with teens after watching. That said, it's notable that the romantic relationship at the heart of the show is one that was damaged by the main character's long-ago act of cheating, and his desire to make up for his mistake helps fuel his vigilantism. Viewers will also see teen drug use (mostly implied by handling or buying the stuff), drinking, and suggestions of sex. Main characters die over the course of the show, sometimes shockingly, and their deaths become further crime-fighting motivation. His weapon of choice is a bow and arrow (hence his moniker), but he's also adept with other weapons and in hand-to-hand combat, so there's a lot of fighting/violence in the show.

Movies that know how to mix the dangerous and the erotic often make edgy, highly diverting thrillers, but “Judicial Consent” is too obvious and too conscious of its form.Parents need to know that Arrow is a tense action-adventure series that's loosely based on a DC Comics story about a castaway survivor who returns to his hometown to make up for his past sins by taking revenge on the criminals who plague his city. As Martin, gifted character actor Coleman is wasted in an unrewarding role, while Wirth is there mostly to look good as the stranger with a “mysterious” motive. Will Patton, usually brilliant in small, offbeat roles, is miscast here in the underwritten role of Gwen’s bland husband we never get a sense of the kind of marriage the Warwicks have.

For instance, lawyers, particularly women, might find offensive a sex scene in Gwen’s office in which she’s shown reaching orgasm while negotiating an important assignment on the telephone. Dark lofts, swinging doors, empty parking lots and so on are all nicely handled, but they’re also familiar to an audience that always seems to be ahead of the pic’s characters.īedelia gives a charming, dominating performance, but the woman she plays is too intelligent and too bright to behave in such a senseless manner. Though a first-time helmer, Bindley gives his picture a smooth and polished look, displaying some mastery over the genre’s tricks - and visual cliches. The courtroom format relies heavily on finely tuned dialogue and unanticipated revelations, but Bindley’s writing, specifically in the court sequences, is borderline banal and the disclosures aren’t particularly suspenseful.

Realizing she’s been set up, Gwen begins a desperate race against time to prove her innocence. Soon, what seemed “circumstantial” evidence turns out to be a well-planned murder, with Gwen as the prime suspect. When Gwen’s roguish colleague, Charles Matron (Dabney Coleman), “a chronic flirt,” is found dead in his office, she’s asked to preside over the case.
